Planning for Success

As with all class based courses the student must attend or run the risk of falling behind, as it is unfair to other class members to be held up while one member catches up on missed work.
There may however be occasions when events, beyond the individual student's control, prevent attendance and in such cases arrangements can be made to record the tutorial class for the student to watch at their convenience.  NOTE at least 2 working days notice must be given in order to ensure that the necessary arrangements are put in place.
It is important to us that ALL of our students achieve their goals
  1. Review your Calendar and select a course that will be uninterrupted by planned holidays / activities at work etc.
  2. Ensure that you can re-arrange your week to make time for study - depending on existing knowledge and experience you should plan to study for between 4 and 8 hours per week, plus another 2 hours for the tutorial class.
  3. Select your class carefully.  Classes take place every week at the same time.  Either between 12 and 2pm in the afternoon or 6.30 and 8.30 in the evening.
  4. Most courses include some element of practical activity and this involves the use of our online virtual servers.  You should allow to spend 2 hours each week practicing the skills you have learned in our safe virtual environment.
  5. Allow 1 hour each week for completion of the online progress test, review of results and revision of weak areas identified.
  6. At the end of the course complete the mock exam before attending your selected exam centre to take the real thing.
