Qualifications that count from
Pitman Training. Supporting a range of examinations from the Oxford, Cambridge
and RSA (OCR) Examining Board in addition to Microsofts Office Specialist
examinations and the British Computer Societies European Computer Driving
Licence (ECDL) we are able to provide access to qualifications that are
most demanded by both Industry and public sector employers.
The Pitman name has long been recognised as a mark of true ability reflecting not only the level of skill achieved but also a training method that ensures that learners throughout the country receive exactly the same training content. The ECDL Qualification has gained popularity because of its broad coverage of computer knowledge and office applications. As a level 2 qualification ECDL is more advanced than CLAIT which covers a similar range of knowledge and applications however both CLAIT and the level 2 CLAIT Plus qualification offer modules such as web page creation and computer graphics that are not featured in the ECDL syllabus and also provides NQF accreditation of the Microsoft Office Specialist range of qualifications that are now accepted as full units of CLAiT Plus. Other non IT related qualifications from OCR and AMSPAR provide accreditation in various office skills such as shorthand and typing and the much sought after Certificate in Medical Terminology, required of Medical Secretaries. |
